Computer Science Career
            Becoming a Computer Science major is rough.  The Computer Science field is very competitive and a growing career field.  It is expected to increase employment by 19 percent from now until 2020 according to the U.S Department of Labor. It may take up to six years to finish the career because of all the math and programing classes needed.  Computer Science is the study of the principles and use of computers; it requires a lot critical thinking, knowledge, problem solving and a lot of passions. Salaries mostly begin earning $63,017 according to CNN. In order to become successful in this career, you need to have a strong critical thinking and a lot of knowledge on math and programing.
           
            A computer science major job varies due to the stress of the programing language. The most common jobs that people choose after graduating college with a CS degree is Software Designer usually for a Tech Company. Others like to work by themselves or in small groups, creating their own company, develop their own software and put it on the market.  Many others don’t want to develop programs but have an interest in technology and research how computers will change and be use in the future. Others choose different types of jobs in Information Technology mostly in computer analysis. Many jobs are available; it depends on what one is interest on.  CS majors can pick from working on hardware or software.

            Computer Science is the study of principles and use of computers. Is a very competitive job, since there are a lot of people with CS degrees. Employment is supposed to increase by 19 percent from now until 2020 according to the U.S Department of Labor. Math and programing classes are necessary. Computer Science majors develop and create programs by written them. Intense math is required, like calculus and logarithms. People with this major can applications for computers and for mobile phones as well. It is beyond the IT field.  Knowing more programing languages helps job opportunities. The main computer language is Java.
Many CS majors end up creating programs to change help the world. Computer science is about creating things for the best, and for the future, like robots, and so on, or help older programs get better like Microsoft Office or games. People with mathematical knowledge have a greater chance of becoming successful since CS requires a lot math courses. Computer scientist can design integrated systems, CPU’s and cell phones. Computer Scientist can create many programs that can help the world. Like program codes to make machines look for diseases, or any type of program. 

            A computer science (CS) major salary may vary. The starting average salary is $57,916 annually. The current salary is $108,102 and after 14 years it’ll drop to $93,763 according to Studentreview.com. Computer Science graduates who make their own programs will have a different salary since they developed their own programs and sell them, and depending on how good and/or useful the program is they’ll make their profit. There are companies that only hire CS majors for part time jobs to only create a program that the company needs. According to tech republic the computer science majors are in rural areas with greater population than in country areas. Places like Washington DC, New York, Boston, LA, and Atlanta are cities hiring CS majors.

One doesn’t need to be a computer science major in order to write programs and codes. People who love computers and have knowledge on programing develop them. When applying for a job a CS major would most likely be hired then one who doesn’t have a degree. The education is important in computer science. A Bachelor or at least an Associates degree are require for jobs and as always experience is necessary. The best get hire into big companies such as Microsoft and HP. The top companies that are hiring computer science majors are CSC as number one, AppLabs, General Dynamics, Microsoft, Deloitte, Amazon, HP, Intel, Dell, and so on. As a computer science major, you can star at the bottom and end at top, computer science has many related fields that others may desire to go on like Java developers, which create programs using Java only. Other careers are Web developer, Network Engineer, Business analyst, and so on according to TechRepublic.com

            Computer Science is one of the best careers out there, it is important to society and to the future. Computers are used everyday, and everywhere and the demand for new technology and programs are needed. The education is very important since the degree is what is considered to companies. The computer science career is one of the best in America and has a great salary. In order to become successful in this career, you need to have a strong critical thinking and a lot of knowledge on math and programing.
